I remember as a child seeing an illustration in a book about a butterfly in a field of bright flowers who was perfectly camouflaged. But once it fluttered into the grey, smog-filled city, it was easily spotted by birds. In this case, it was the moth with its grey, urban-colored wings that blended in more effectively.
It made me wonder how effective a ninja, clad all in black, would be during a daytime attack. To me, the deadliest and stealthiest ninja would be one who could blend into any environment, no matter how complex – or ridiculous.
Here is a self portrait series I shot a couple months ago that features no photoshopping, just lots of fabric and stealth.
